Our Family Dogs
Welcome to our little pack!
Our life with dogs has been one of love, laughter, muddy paw prints, and the sweetest snuggles. Each pup—whether still with us or forever in our hearts—has left a lasting mark on our home and our hearts.
Our dogs are more than pets; they’re family. They live in our home, share our lives, and each brings their own charm, quirks, and affection. We’re proud of their loving temperaments and beautiful lineage.
We’re also deeply grateful for the dogs who helped shape our journey and our love for this breed. Their legacy lives on in the puppies we raise with care, intention, and lots of love. Every pup that leaves our arms carries a piece of our heart into their new forever home.

Blue Star Bailey La Stella
Our gentle soul
Bailey is one of our beautiful long-haired Miniature Dachshunds and an absolute sweetheart through and through. With her flowing piebald coat, with cute freckled paws she has soulful eyes, and gentle nature, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her loving personality that truly makes her special.
AKC-registered with a strong and proud bloodline she is a lovely example of the breed, Bailey is calm, affectionate, and incredibly in tune with her people. She loves belly rubs, cozy blankets, and being right in the middle of whatever her humans are doing. Whether she’s snuggled up on the couch or prancing proudly on a walk, Bailey brings joy and warmth to every moment.
She’s a wonderful mama—nurturing, attentive, and full of love—and we’re so in love with her beautiful soul.

Blue Star Mia's Midnight Melody

Meet Mia, our beautiful shaded cream baby girl and the newest sweetheart in our dachshund family. At just four months old, this adorable bundle of fluff is already showing all the charm and grace of her mama, Bailey. With her soft coat, curious eyes, and the sweetest little personality, she’s quickly become the light of our home.
Mia is everything we hoped for and more — playful, confident, and endlessly loving. She’s always ready for adventure but never turns down a good cuddle. Whether she’s chasing toys, exploring the yard, or snuggling up in a blanket, she brings joy and laughter everywhere she goes.
As Bailey’s daughter, Mia carries on our beloved bloodline with that same gentle spirit and stunning good looks. We’re so excited to watch her grow, learn, and one day take her place in our breeding program, continuing the legacy of beauty and love that started with her mama.
For now, she’s our little princess — curious, sweet, and full of promise — the next generation of long-haired AKC dachshund excellence.

Blue Star Anastasia Lastella
Our sweet dapple girl
Annie is our gorgeous long-haired Miniature Dapple Dachshund, and she’s truly the heart of our home. Though she isn’t AKC-registered, she has been fully health and genetic tested—and what she may lack in paperwork, she more than makes up for in personality and love.
What makes Annie so special isn’t just her striking dapple coat or her soft, silky fur—it’s her extraordinary ability to connect with people. Annie has a gentle, intuitive nature and a calm confidence that draws everyone in. She especially shines around children, instinctively knowing when to be playful, when to be patient, and always eager to be close by for snuggles and kisses.
She’s more than a pet—she’s a loyal companion, a little shadow, and a best friend to everyone she meets. Annie is an incredible mama, and we know her warm, loving spirit will live on in each of her puppies.

Blue Star Sir Alvin of Phoenix Rise

Alvin, affectionately known as Mr. J Balvin — our handsome long-haired shaded cream AKC dachshund who’s already turning heads and stealing hearts! Alvin came to us from one of our favorite programs in Idaho, and from the moment he arrived, he’s been nothing short of a superstar. With his dreamy coat, confident strut, and those melt-your-heart eyes, it’s easy to see why he stands out wherever he goes.
But Alvin isn’t just a pretty face — he’s the full package. Friendly, playful, and endlessly curious, he’s the first to greet you at the door and the last to leave your side. He’s also a total gentleman with our ladies, protective yet gentle, always making sure everyone feels safe and loved. His goofy charm keeps us laughing, and his affectionate side reminds us daily just how special he is.
Alvin comes from an exceptional lineage, with his sire producing over 30 amazing litters of top-quality dachshunds. That strong genetic foundation shines through in Alvin’s structure, coat, and confident, loving temperament. We’re beyond thrilled to have him join our family and can’t wait to see the beautiful, spirited pups he’ll sire in the years to come.
With his superstar looks, sweet heart, and natural charisma, Mr. J Balvin truly lives up to his name — bringing joy, style, and a little extra swagger to our dachshund crew!
Khloe

Blue Star Khloe's Little Dreamer
Our Wise Midwife
We’re thrilled to introduce Khloe, a gorgeous older addition to the family! Khloe is a stunning, AKC registered medium-haired, piebald mini dachshund with a spirit as beautiful as her unique coloring. At 3 years old, she has already proven to be a loving and attentive momma to one gorgeous litter. Overwhelmed with the size of the large breeding program she was previously in, she developed a lot of fear and anxiety so she came to us looking for a quieter life with more specialized attention and care.

Since being with us she has blossomed into a sweet, gentle-tempered member of our pack who is always looking out for others and helping take care of the youngsters of the family.

More than just her striking colors and sweet temperament, Khloe brings a nurturing spirit to our home. She has a natural talent for caregiving and has quickly become our trusted midwife and coach to our younger, first-time mamas. With a calm presence and an intuitive sense of care, she provides comfort and guidance during whelping, making her an invaluable member of our little dachshund family.
We’re excited for the future with Khloe—both for the beautiful puppies she’ll continue to bring into the world, and the gentle support she offers to our growing pack.
Our Trailblazers
The dogs who paved the way for Blue Star adventures.
Before there were puppies in the pack, there were the dogs who started it all. Our past dogs were more than companions—they were family, trail leaders, tent warmers, and soulmates. They taught us the heart of the canines: loyalty, courage, and a love for mountain life. Whether bounding through fresh snow or curled up by a fire, they inspired our passion for raising happy, healthy adventure-ready puppies. Though they’ve crossed the rainbow bridge or moved on to loving homes, their pawprints are forever part of Blue Star’s story.
Siberian Husky
Kaia Papaya

2011-2025
Kaia, Shannon’s rescued husky, was by her side for 14 unforgettable years. Wild-hearted and full of personality, Kaia shared in every adventure—from snowy trails to sunlit hikes. Her loyal spirit and fierce independence made her truly one of a kind, and her memory still runs strong through every mountain path we take.
Shepherd/Rottweiller
LucyFUR

Lucy, Shannon's retired shepherd-rottweiler rescue, is the gentle, quiet heart of the pack. Loyal, passionate, and full of love, she’s happiest just being near her people. Slowing down with age, but never in spirit, Lucy is a constant reminder of what true devotion looks like.
Dachshund
Cocoa

Cocoa, a beloved retired dachshund, was an important part of Amber's original breeding family. With her gentle nature and loving spirit, she helped us bring many wonderful puppies into the world. Now retired, she enjoys her days filled with relaxation, cuddles, and plenty of love.
Dachshund
Atticus

Atticus, our handsome AKC-registered long-haired chocolate dachshund, was full of joy and character. As a “tweenie” — a genetic throwback from a long line of minis — we were unable to keep him in our breeding program because his size was causing birthing complications with our smaller mini females. Luckily we found him a loving home where he could thrive. With champion bloodlines, a luxurious coat, and a confident spirit, he now struts his stuff at AKC shows, training to become the next big champion. We’ll always love, adore and miss our gentle prince. He has a part of our souls always.
Dachsund
Bella

Bella, an early and cherished puppy that came out of Amber's original breeding program, she was a true sweetheart. Her gentle, loving nature made her one of Amber's favorites. She was adopted as a puppy but after unfortunate events with who we thought would be her forever home she came back to us after 3 years as a rescue in need of care, rehabilitation and rehoming. We worked to help her get back her good health and happiness, got her spayed, up to date on all of her shots and veterinary care and found the best forever home we could possibly wish for. She now has the biggest smile we've seen on any weenie !
Dachsund
Dory

Dory was rescued from a difficult situation where she was separated from her mom too early, leading to behavioral challenges and an anxious temperament. With patience, training, and lots of love, we helped her build confidence and eventually found her a wonderful, forever home where she could thrive.
